摘要

After weaning at 31 days old 148 Large White X Landrace pigs were given to 50 days old 5 different prestarting diets with protein of animal origin 6, 9, 10, 15 and 33% (of which 0, 0, 5, 10 and 30% was powdered milk) and plant (soyabean and sunflower) oil 0, 0, 3, 2 and 1%. From 51 to 90 days old they had starting diets with animal protein 2.4, 4.4, 5, 7 and 7% (of which 0, 0, 2, 3 and 3% was powdered milk) and plant oil 0, 0, 2, 1 and 1%, respectively. The diets had different flavouring, such as sugar, monosodium glutamate, saccharin and combinations of these, added. Pigs given diets low in animal protein, without fat and powdered milk to supply 20% crude protein during the prestarting period and 16.57% crude protein during the starting period weighed 25 kg at 91 days old. Those given diets high in animal protein with 1% added oil and 2% flavouring weighed 43.1 kg at 91 days old.
